1. Base infiltration drainage method
Base infiltration drainage method has two aspects of drainage. One is that the residual water after surface drainage seeps into the ground through the loose base soil, and at the same time passes through the blind ditch in the base and is discharged into the drainage ditch outside the field. On the other hand, it can also isolate groundwater and maintain the natural water content of the surface, which is very important for natural turf football fields. The base infiltration drainage method is very good, but it has very strict requirements on the specifications of engineering materials and high requirements on construction operation technology. If it is not done well, it will not play the role of infiltration and drainage, and may even become a stagnant water layer.
Artificial turf drainage generally adopts infiltration drainage. The underground infiltration system is closely integrated with the structure of the site, and most of them adopt the form of blind ditch (an underground drainage channel). The drainage slope range of the outdoor ground of the foundation of artificial turf is controlled at 0.3%~0.8%, the slope of the artificial turf field without infiltration function is not more than 0.8%, and the slope of the artificial turf field with infiltration function is 0.3%. The drainage ditch of the outdoor field is generally not less than 400㎜.
2. Site surface drainage method
This is a more commonly used method. Relying on the longitudinal and transverse slopes of the football field, the rainwater is discharged out of the field. It can drain about 80% of the rainwater in the entire field area. This requires accurate and very strict requirements for the design slope value and construction. At present, artificial turf football fields are built in large quantities. During the construction of the base layer, it is necessary to operate meticulously and strictly follow the standards so that the rainwater can be effectively drained out.
The football field is not a pure plane, but a turtle back shape, that is, the middle is high and the four sides are low. This is done to facilitate drainage when it rains. It’s just that the area of the field is too large and there is grass on it, so we can’t see it.
3. Forced drainage method
The forced drainage method is to set a certain amount of filter pipes in the base layer.
It uses the vacuum effect of the pump to accelerate the water in the base layer into the filter pipe and discharge it outside the field. It belongs to a strong drainage system. Such a drainage system allows the football field to be played on rainy days. Therefore, the forced drainage method is the best choice.
If there is water accumulation on the football field, it will affect the normal operation and use of the field, and also affect the user experience. Long-term water accumulation will also affect the life of the lawn. Therefore, it is very important to find the right construction unit for the construction of the football field.
