Artificial turf buying tips 1: grass silk

1. Raw materials The raw materials of artificial turf are mostly polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and nylon (PA)

1. Polyethylene: It feels soft, and its appearance and sports performance are closer to natural grass. It is widely accepted by users and is widely used in the market.

2. Polypropylene: The grass fiber is harder and is easily fibrillated. It is generally used in tennis courts, playgrounds, runways or decoration, and its wear resistance is slightly worse than polyethylene.

3. Nylon: It is the earliest raw material for artificial grass fiber and also the best raw material. Developed countries such as the United States widely use nylon grass.

Tips for buying artificial turf 2: Bottom

1. Vulcanized wool PP woven bottom: durable, good anti-corrosion performance, excellent adhesion to glue and grass line, easy to age, and the price is 3 times that of PP woven cloth.

2. PP woven bottom: general performance, weak binding force

Glass fiber bottom (grid bottom): The use of glass fiber and other materials can help to increase the strength of the bottom and the binding force of the grass fiber.

3. PU bottom: extremely strong anti-aging function, durable; strong adhesion to the grass line, and environmentally friendly and odorless, but the cost is relatively high, especially the imported PU glue is more expensive.

4. Woven bottom: The woven bottom does not use the backing glue to directly attach to the fiber root. This bottom can simplify the production process, save raw materials, and for important things, can meet the sports prohibited by ordinary artificial lawns.

Artificial turf purchase tips three: glue

1. Butadiene latex is a common material in the artificial turf market, with good performance, low cost, and water solubility.

2. Polyurethane (PU) glue is a universal material in the world. Its strength and binding force are several times that of butadiene latex. It is durable, beautiful in color, non-corrosive and mildew-proof, and environmentally friendly, but the price is relatively expensive, and its market share in my country is relatively low.

Tips for buying artificial turf 4: Product structure judgment

1. Appearance: bright color, regular grass seedlings, uniform tufting, uniform needle spacing without skipped stitches, good consistency; overall uniformity and flatness, no obvious color difference; moderate glue used on the bottom and penetrated into the backing, no glue leakage or damage.

2. Standard grass length: In principle, the longer the football field, the better (except for leisure places). The current long grass is 60mm, mainly used in football fields. The common grass length used in football fields is about 30-50mm.

3. Grass density:

Evaluate from two perspectives:

(1) Look at the number of grass needles from the back of the lawn. The more needles per meter of grass, the better.

(2) Look at the row spacing from the back of the lawn, that is, the row spacing of the grass. The denser the row spacing, the better.

4. Grass fiber density and fiber diameter of fiber. Common sports grass yarns are 5700, 7600, 8800 and 10000, which means that the higher the fiber density of the grass yarn, the better the quality. The more roots in each cluster of grass yarn, the finer the grass yarn and the better the quality. The fiber diameter is calculated in μm (micrometer), generally between 50-150μm. The larger the fiber diameter, the better. The larger the diameter, the better. The larger the diameter, the more solid the grass yarn is and the more wear-resistant it is. The smaller the fiber diameter, the more like a thin plastic sheet, which is not wear-resistant. The fiber yarn index is generally difficult to measure, so FIFA generally uses the fiber weight index.

5. Fiber quality: The larger the mass of the same unit length, the better the grass yarn. The weight of grass yarn fiber is measured in fiber density, expressed in Dtex, and defined as 1 gram per 10,000 meters of fiber, which is called 1Dtex. The larger the grass yarn weight, the thicker the grass yarn, the larger the grass yarn weight, the stronger the wear resistance, and the larger the grass yarn weight, the longer the service life. As the heavier the grass fiber, the higher the cost, it is important to choose the appropriate grass weight according to the age of the athletes and the frequency of use. For large sports venues, it is recommended to use lawns woven from grass fibers weighing more than 11000 Dtex.
